Xiaomi Inc. has developed the Redmi Note 6 Pro smartphone. The smartphone comes in three different variants, the base model having 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It costs approximately Rs 13,999, while the top-end variant comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The base model is the least expensive, so it is definitely worth buying. Xiaomi made a mistake with this device by naming it the Redmi Note 6 Pro. It should have been called the Redmi Note 5 Pro Plus instead. While the specs of the phone are nearly identical, the notch is slightly larger and adds a bit of space to the display. But overall, the phone’s display is a nice upgrade. Its vibrant colors and crispness make it more attractive than its predecessor. And its viewing angles are also quite good.

The Redmi Note 6 Pro has a good display. The 6.2-inch screen is bright, with good viewing angles. However, it has a slight bluish cast to it. The IR blaster on the device is useful for controlling various appliances. The screen also features a trendy notch cutout and is stretched to a 19:9 aspect ratio. Its resolution is 1080 x 2280 pixels. This phone is 6.26 inches tall and is designed to be durable. Xiaomi also offers a variety of color options, including red, black, blue, and purple.

Xiaomi has stayed with its formula, which worked for the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but tweaked the camera and other features. Besides this, the device also offers a hefty 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with four cameras: a 12MP primary camera, a 20MP + 2MP camera combination, and a 5MP selfie snapper. The smartphone also has a 4000mAh battery and runs Android 8.1 Oreo.

In addition to its better imaging compared to the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the new phone has a secondary depth sensor. This depth sensor is also helpful for portraits and bokeh shots. Despite the higher price tag, the Redmi Note 6 Pro remains one of the most affordable smartphones on the market, and it offers some of the best imaging performance under Rs 20,000. If you are a photographer, a Redmi Note 6 Pro camera is definitely worth a try.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 display is a nice surprise. With a maximum brightness of 500 nits, it provides a brilliant viewing experience. It even has a Reading Mode, making it perfect for viewing books or playing games. The screen is protected by an oleophobic coating, which repels fingerprints and minor drops of water. It is also a great camera choice for selfies, as it comes with a dual-pixel PDAF sensor.

The larger screen doesn’t necessarily mean more usable space, and the notch occupies a large portion of the screen. The notch is not visible in videos, but the interface is spaced out to minimize the interruptions. The Xiaomi Mi A2 weighs 182 grams, but is a bit heavier than the Huawei P Smart (2019).
